I'm In Charge... And So Are You!

Well, I'm having a rough week, but I keep it moving because.... well, I’m the one in charge here!

I'm not my normally bubbly self in this video... was not feeling all that great, not every day is a high energy bubbly day. You would think I would avoid posting a video when I'm feeling bad; on the contrary, this was the perfect day to post a video.

The message for today: Push past the overwhelming desire to give in and give up! You can do it! Don't give up!  I'm rooting for you!!

For my full story, my journey and the medical diagnosis that started it all... read the post "Call it what you want... I call it a blessing"

Life: Don't miss it!
Time: Don't waste it!

Thanks for visiting, thanks for listening and thank you for supporting this journey. XO -- Christine

Where's The Protein?

As a former carnivore turned vegan, I am bombarded with questions all the time from family, friends, even perfect strangers. But there is one question that is asked at least a hundred thousand times a day.
Where do you get your protein?  Well... I will show you ...

Below is an example of a protein packed meal. This is something I would enjoy for breakfast, lunch or dinner.  There's a bunch of stuff in there but I'll just point out the protein parts.

  • Kale (yep kale has protein)  (and Calcium!)
And the secret power food hidden under all this deliciousness... Quinoa!

Plenty of protein.  No animals.

Believe me when I say, when done correctly a Vegan lifestyle is full, balanced and nutritious.

Are you a new or seasoned vegan/vegetarian? What types of questions have you been asked?  How do you handle all the inquiries? Please share in the comments!

Are you thinking about trying a plant based lifestyle? Do you have questions? Ask away in the comments and I will do my best to find the answers!

I've got Aloe!

And lots of it! The magic gel inside these leaves will be put to good use.

Aloe is magic! Use it on Hair, skin, nails, sunburn, heat-rash, eczema, acne; the list goes on... I even put the gel into smoothies and juices! It is believed the gel can help to cleanse and detox the body...so your insides will be all pretty! Pretty inside/ pretty outside!   :)

Do you use Aloe? Share the wonderful ways you use Aloe in the comments below!
